After working as a graphic designer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she decided to enter the world of fine art and devoted the next years to study oil painting in the impression style. She describes her style as evolving. In 2008, Anita designed and executed a mural for the City of Des Moines, titled "Spirit of Des Moines", which can be viewed at the marina waterfront. Her focus is currently on portraiture, and she has received portrait commissions statewide. Anita believes, that the creation of good art is more about passion and hard work, than talent.

About Anita Corby
Anita Corby was born in Berlin, Germany
She has worked hard to become an award winning painter and jewelry maker. Her art has been shown and sold in group shows and juried exhibitions nationwide. She is a member or Artists United and Poverty Bay Art Association based in Des Moines ,Washington, and served three years as Arts Commissioner for the City of Des Moines.
Her art education began in Berlin when she received her graduation certificate from the Lette Haus Commercial Art Institute.
